Crawley Down Gatwick U11 Girls – Gatwick United FC U11 Girls. We had our first ever friendly as an U11 group playing a 7 v 7 match at Crawley Down. The experience of our opposition was very noticeable as they are a well established league team. However, throughout each quarter played we showed lots of improvement which is encouraging for our development within the group.
We chose not to focus on the score as a whole but how many we scored, the result was a defeat but to play our first match and score a lots of goals against a league team was an outstanding achievement. The parents, club and coaching staff were all very proud, and for the girls just the smiles on their faces and excitement for the next friendly when they cam off the pitch meant so much. Well done girls
